Unable to get recommended airspace, what negative effects?

I got me a JL TW5 from this forum, I built the box to JL Specs, got around .81 after driver displacement, after I put the box in my truck I realized that the sub (when on) will be hitting the top of my seat, so I had to trim and now im around .67, question is waht ill effects will the sub have?

IIRC, reduced range but an increase in power handling.

In this book I'm reading (which was written in 1984, so... yeah.)

"Box Too Small = Boomy bass, reduced bass range."

It'll sound tighter, peak a little higher, and be less power efficient (able and wanting more power)
