**Ultimate 10" Battle**

out of the sq big woofers he left out the idmax oz elites and the dls woofers. i have heard people say the w7 is nice but i have yet to hear 1 that didnt have mechanical sounds or sound overly mechanical, not saying it cant be made not to be just havent heard it yet. the idq has got to be considered as well although not as loud as the others listed it does alot more than hold its own in the sq department.

i hope ur not installing ur own sh*t if u dont even know what wiring in parallel is.
idmax is my vote for sq.

haha, thanks for the cheerie remark dude. i hope you have a great day! dick....

i figured it out, i dont need an answer about the last question...

o no problem man, anytime. i like to put down other people just to gain self esteem, because i dont have a life. sorry for being a pen1s to u, have my babies.

you live in california there has got to be shops local and cars about that you can listen to 4 yourself. all you need to do is pick your honest budget, the amount of space and pick your woofer/amp

okay, so here it is...lol I have narrowed it down a little bit, maybe this will help people understand what im thinking and not being able to type....

I need one 10" subwoofer...I have been doing ALT of research the past couple months...the sub is going to be placed on the back seat of my extended cab pickup and id like to take up the least amount of space as possible, hence the (1) 10".

I will be having a box made as close to the specs of the sub i pick as possible, while still getting a small sealed box. i have about 20in wide and 14in high to play with.

I am looking for mostly sound quality but i still want some knocking. As i said bfor, the amp is an MTX 81000d mono block.

I dont knw alot about car audio as i am still learning so I WOULD LIKE AS MUCH CRITICISM AS POSSIBLE.. :boobies:

thanks for the help guys and let me know if there is anything else u need to know to help with this search...

oh believe me i have......this was my post from beginning of Dec. on a different forum...

Hey Guys~ now le me quickly explain my story then Ill ask my questions…thanks

In my 91’ Toyota Ext. Pickup, I have put a 3-way a/d/s component system in it with 2 JL 10W3v2’s. My Amps are a JBL 600.1 for the sub and an 8ch. a/d/s amp. All of the speakers came out of my last car; the speakers themselves are at least 5 years old. And I have an Alpine CDA-9835 reciever.

I spent about $1100 dollars last October having a local car audio place install, and I just haven’t been that satisfied. Amps mounted under the rear seats were bouncing around as well as distributor blocks bouncing.

So I went in today to have them set me up, only to find out some beautiful news. Apparently, my door mounted 5 ¼ a/d/s 335is speaker is blown, as well as one of my tweeters. The other tweeter is beginning to crackle so I know that’s going and my right side 5 ¼, which I am sure is on its last breath.

As you can probably understand I’m a little heated right now. I have spent WAY too much money on install and it doesn’t even work. So I asked the guy what he recommends, he said just get a whole new system. I want to know what brands professionals recommend, I don’t want some ricer music coming from my truck, I want some kick ***, roll down the music, I can hear you 4 blocks away, sound!!!))))

I WAS JUST USING THIS TO SHOW THAT I HATE DEALING WITH AUDIO SHOPS, THEY JUST TRY AND SELL ME WHAT THEY DEAL...PLUS ALOT OF THESE BRANDS ARE BEING CARRIED BY THE AUDIO SHOPS AROUND ME....

Anybody?? ttt...

I have a 10" IDMAX V3 d2 for sale for $225 shipped. Barely used and a good SQ subwoofer that can still get pretty loud.
Goodmorning everybody! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/ready2go.gif.6557fa3d88b9eaca9c7b8efb9cbd02ed.gif

Im havin' hard time finding any specs on that particular sub, would you mind tellin' me a little about it? That would be much appreciated.

Tomorrow i am going to measure the amount of room i have to play with for box sizes but an estimate for now is about 20 inches wide x 14 or so inches high. Does that help with the searchfield? I at least need to know of some subs that work well in small boxes that will still hit hard. Thanks...

personally, i've used the soundstream rubicon 10'' (just 1)... and its one of the Best SQ drivers ive used. i'm an oddball though, and i like ported... it was in a ported box.

come in dual 4 ohm, so you'd have to wire it to 2... and its not going to handle 1500 RMS for daily driving (i think thats what you said the amp pushed out). but they go in small enough boxs that you could run 2 of them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif (.5 cu ft each driver). they can be acquired relatively cheap also... for under 100 each i'm sure.
