I am bridging this amp to my Type R components.

it can be set for 2 channel input and 4 channel input. I am assumeing that I would want it on 2 channel correct?

When it is Bridged and on 2 channel mode do you still need to set both gains independently or will the channel 1-2 gain setting be used for 3-4 as well?

I have been having some problems getting this set-up right and any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you will need to adjust both gains for Chan 1-2 and Chan 3-4.

A friend of mine had an old US Amps or US Acoustics or something like that, i forget the brand but when he wanted to bridge it he had to change some jumpers inside the amp... Is this an old method to bridging or is this still required on some amps?
