two R's or one X

my wife needs new subs in her 2001 Eclipse.her two Alpine 10" type S's are done and i'm gonna run about 700 to 800 watts rms anyway.i can get her two type R's or one type X for the same money.it's gonna be the same wattage handing either way.she was pretty satisfied before,but i know it can be better.she already has the ported box that the two type S's were in.by the way,she listens to a large variety of music.thanks for any help.

it depends on what you're looking for. I'd say do 1 type X because the Type Rs are very SPL oriented.

Single 12" R and proper gains, or if u can fit it a single 15... I'd look into maybe a 12" FI SSD or IA LI.
