two 12w6v2 for my e1400d's???

Im my car setup I have 2 jl e1400d amps and currently have a 12w3's hooked up to each amp, atm its pulling around 143db. I was wondering if I upgrade my subs to 12w6v2's will it hit around just under the 150db mark or will it make not much of a difference at all???

For the cash you would have to dish out to make the swap, I'd stick with what you have.

2nd...i think you're full of shyt about the 143 db's with 2 12" W3's

and 3rd no the W6's will not be louder, nor were they designed for spl, they were designed for sound quality. If you want to get 7-8 dbs louder then 143 i suggest getting some spl oriented 15"s and more power.

I call bs cuz I have 4 12W6v2's and I am putting 500 rms to each and only pull a 148.8 and thats with the bs mic's. Don't get me wrong these subs freakin pound and mine are tuned to 32 hz. But a legal 140 anything with 2 is not going to happen unless you have it tuned way high and burp it at like 1500 a piece. Plus after 1 or 2 of those burps the subs would be smoked. Was this in the port with a cheater mic. I had 3 w3v2 12"s and they hammered but there is no way they could pull off 140 anything. I had 1500 going to the treo also. So yeah. Wrong place to throw out BS numbers like that. Post some results and we might change our minds.

i have no idea what meter was used, my good mates at my audio shop tested it for me, i cant say how itsz been tuned as i didnt tune it myself, they tuned it all for me, its all customized in the boot of a 1990 nissan silvia.
