Two 10W6V2's....Overkill?

I'm installing a new amp and sub(s) on Thursday, and I was wondering if I should keep both 10w6's or add just one. I listen to mainly Metal & Hard Rock with an occasional Rap song, and I'm looking for an SQ type sound. I have my Rainbow SLC's installed with an Eclipse XA4000 amp, but I don't want the bass to overpower the system. Should I add the one W6 or add both W6's and keep the gains down? Anyone have experience with two W6's? Will it be too much for what I'm looking for?

Thanks guys. I'm thinking two would probably be the best bet. If I add one and it's not enough, I figure it's more trouble to install another than to fiddle with what's already installed.

thats not overkill lol. it might be loud, but cetainly not close to overkill //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I run 2 RL-P 15's and also listen to a lot of metal. Sounds amazing and kick drums have a LOT of punch.

If the subs sound good, then it'll just be more of a good thing when you want it. As mentioned, you can turn them down when needed.

Right now I have SLC 265s accompanied with one 10w6v2. While it does blend in very nicely with enough bass for the average listener, I love my low end and will be adding another 10w6v2 very soon.

I suggest going for two right from the start. Just ask yourself why not?
