There was a group of guys tweaking a system at the race track other day. I was parked about 100 feet away, and it really suprised the shit out of me. My toolbox in back of my truck started rattling and everything. Went overthere to find out what he had, and it was 2 10" L7's ported on a hifonix1500d. Also had a nice front stage. Can you say loud.

I was always anti-tens until i heard my friends 2 jl 10w3v2's, they also suprised the hell outta me, great sq and really **** loud. It probably helped that his car is like 5 feet long though so your a lot closer to the subs especially in the back like i was (he has some sort of saturn where the backseats so small you have to put your legs accross/can't face forward lol).

Loudest system i ever heard was 3 10" MTX blue thunder??? subs in the back of my neighbor's suburban back in the day.

It's possible that if i could go back and revisit those days with the experience i have now, i might not be nearly as impressed, but there's no doubt in my mind that those subs could wang hard.

They honestly weren't clean at all, tho, which leads me to believe a lot of the loudness was attributed to massive cabin gain in that truck for some reason, and tehre were a lot of resonant freq's.
