Two 10"s, less than 5.5" Mounting...

kicker cvt's. 4 3/16 mounting depth, 400wrms power handling each and can be had at a shop for $150 each. get very loud and sound decent doing it.

the twelve inch cvt's will fit too. IIRC, they have a 4 3/8 or 5/8" mounting depth. and they'll work in that box. they go for about $170 each in our shop.

Budget wise....Mach 5 Audio 10" MAW.....it says u can add 5/8 mounting depth for 20 extra bucks then you can put 1 12 in there that calls for like 1.25 cube or something and put alot to it? Maybe the AA Assassin 12"?? tight fit lol

Thanks for all the suggestions, forgot to mention the price, looking to spend $150 per sub. Also, would two 10" sealed be louder than my 2 AA 8"s ported (off the same amp, so at 1ohm they'd probably see 1000w total).

why not 10" aa's?

put an extra baffle on those boxes (just cut a circle out with the inner diameter of the cutout, and make it about an inch wide, and screw it into the box(carpet it)), and you'll haev a much more universal mounting depth to work with

edit: and then throw two 10" arsenals in there; you'll be BLOWN away

I was actually wanting to put 10" Arsenals in there, but I don't know the specs of the new models they're making. If they aren't deeper, I may just do that (I'm actually building this box myself, so I could probably squeeze an extra 1/2" - 3/4" out of the space. It really depends on how much they're going to cost...

have u thought about one 10" sub ported? i had one 10" arsenal in 1.4 cubes tuned to 35 Hz, and it sounded NICE. i hit a 138.8 on the tl.

hell, if the box would fit in ur ranger, its all urs

56" wide, 14" tall, 9.5" bottom depth and 4.5" top depth, with a built in amp rack.

Nah, that wouldn't fit. Rangers **** for speakers, anyone who's worked with one will tell you that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Basically, to get a decently sized box, you have to do more than a few "stick-outs" and angles to make it work. I wish just a regular box would fit, then it wouldn't be such a PITA to build this one (and why I haven't done it yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif )

yeah, his rear 5x7s and jack make a sub enclosure a real PITA.

teh cvt's would work perfectly bro. the tens retail for $150, so i know they can be had cheaper online. and they don't need a big box. we installed a 10 in a .4ft^3 net sealed box and it rocks with ~500wrms going to it. it's ugly as hell, but it works badass!

and again, for just a few bucks more, the 12s will fit.

On the kicker site, it says the tens need .8 and the twelves need 1 minimally though o_O

I guess I'll wait and see what AA has up their sleeve before I decide what i get. Hmm, arsenals or CVTs, the arsenals definitely LOOK better, lol.
