Tweeters squealing when bass hits....

Yet another chapter in my noise problem book....

So I get my new AX3200D today. It sounds great and is a heck of a lot more efficient than my AX2000.

I was playing some 20hz stuff today just to test it out. I immediately noticed that the tweeters would squeal at high volumes.

This is the only clue so far,

"Don't connect all of your amplifier ground wires under one bolt. Contrary to belief, this is not required if the rest of the system is installed properly. If you do connect more than one power ground wire under a single bolt, you run the risk of amplifier ground modulation. This is caused by the current demands of, for example a woofer amp, modulating the power ground wire of a tweeter amp. This results in a squeaking noise that can be heard over the tweeters whenever bass notes hit."

Tonight I already tried moving the ground of the mid/high amp to 2 different spots..made no difference.

I tried muting the front speakers from the HU, no difference.

When I disconnect the rca's from the mid/high amp the noise goes away..

How close are your RCAs to the power wire for your amp? I've heard running them too close to your power wire can induce noise.

I have them running on opposite sides of the car.

sound like a ground loop to me. Try grounding the sub amp and mid/high amp at 2 different spot.

perhaps the damage is done already from sharing the grounding point?

I've never had this problem when grounding all my amps to the same point.

ok so your pumping extremely low bass into your system and your tweeters are squeaking ok whats your voltage when the system is running. Tweets as you know are really sensitive to engine noise and sound floor issues. Check your voltages try changing rcas as well. You might also try grounding your rcas for ground loop probs.

Car off, voltage never dropped below 12.2. I wasnt sitting there cranking test tones with the car off for hours (even 10sec) on end so dont get the wrong idea. With the car running it still happens.

I already tried changing the rca's, but Ill try another set soon.

The rcas are grounded to the HU chassis.

I took the door panel off and noticed the noise is comming out of the mid mostly.

Also, even with the front speakers completely muted from the HU, the noise still goes through..
