New bulb soldered in. Heatshrink put on, cleanest way to keep the ends from shorting on anything. I also added some electrical tape to the ends to help support the wires since they're such a small guage. When I first installed these I had problems on the back door with the wires breaking off from the bulbs. So there ya go, I'm no liar, I really use them and PROMISE you they'll help save ur tweets. Not necessarily in ALL situations, but for the majority of us this can EASILY save alot of time, money and headaches with tweets getting popped all the time.
