turning a barn..... into a giant hangout place

Some friends of mine are all taking this kid's barn and turning it into a giant hangout place for all of our friends. We have 15 couches, a 55" tv, mini fridge, microwave, dance area + stripper pole and a poker table... and its all in the hay mound 13' in the air. (Climb a ladder to get there)

The bottom floor is alot bigger, it uses the whole length x width of the barn with about a 20' ceiling and it slopes up to about 30'. We plan on having a mini basketball court and various other things for it.

Yet we're going to need some speakers and such for music.

What would be best music systems to look into for this area? We also want something for the low frequencies to give us some BASS. We could put some subwoofers in the barn obviously, but, isn't there something better seeing as how subs are generally used for cars?

Just pick up some cheap used pro audio(DJ) stuff. No need to spend much. Some friends and I did the same thing back in the day, but is was not a barn was an shop. Regardless, stuff will get trashed and damaged over time.

What would that type of stuff be?

I was thinking of some home audio system.

I can see the strippers heels and all climbing the ladder to get in the barn. LOL!!! Yeah just get some cheap speakers from craiglist or pawn shop cause there gonna get trshed eventually.

Haha we're upgrading the way up... eventually.

The pole isn't really going to be used for strippers... just the girls from our school/area that want to dance on it.

Also known as strippers. I can see it now..."hey girl wanna come over to dance (on pole). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif JK. I am 36 years old, but remember back to my high school days. Hey if you guys are hanging out there, it's better than being somewhere in the streets. Just goon craigalist and find some cheap speakers and a receiver.

We brought a house last year with a Pole barn (2000 Sq ft) on the other side of the property, it has power, cable, phone line and a office. I use it to do installs for people year round. I have a Yamaha receiver power several speakers in their for music.

What's a receiver? :S

I don't know know how big the barn dimensions are exactly, but it's pretty big. I'd say easily over 2000 sq ft.
