Do you believe that in all of the different car audio brands out there, that each brand individualy accelerates in one particular area of an audio system. Or do you believe that you should go with one brand throughout the entire car for the best setup. Sound quality is the key importance.

I agree with TownCar, it's what you like

In the sense you're referring to, no one brand makes the best of everything, JL makes awesome subs, amps, components, everything, but not necessarily the best

For all we know, the so called "best" or most preferred brand, could be a McIntosh sub, Boston Z6 comps and some rare amp you've never heard of, who knows

Do what you like :)

No. Last time I checked, Jensen didn't accelerate in ANY particular area.

I used to have a about a half-dozen or so different brands for my last setup -- and it sounded great.

Mix and match is teh coolest yo!

Seriously, buy whatever satisfies your ego's need to control your own individual twisted car audio obsession //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif More brands the better...that way you can put more stickers on your windows //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

No one company is going to be the best, or "best for your money", in every product category. Mix 'n matching brands will allow you to maximize the performance of your stereo by being able to select the best product within your budget rather than the "best" product offered by company Y in your budget.

Well, no company can have the best of everything and really no company is the best. I like to stay somewhat loyal to some brands like CDT since i deal for them but i do like to use other companies so i know whats on the market and how things compare. My newest setup i'll be working on begining of this year will included a Stereo Integrity 15, (2)CDT ES-600, (4)CDT tw-24s, (2)CDt HD-4, (2)Tang band 6.5, (2) Monitor 1 MK2.70, Concept 1200(soon to be replaced with IS2450), Coustic XM6 and Eclipse 8443.

All personal preference, some people match, but usually for cosmetics and taste. The term best is way too subjective for any one or group of people to answer, especially with just a broad array of products available and more coming along everyday. Anything of "decent" build quality will suit most people just fine regardless of brand.

Me personally? I think Squeakinators are the Best. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The only time I did one brand was when I was sponsered. I did all MTX in my cutlass after many different installs in there. I have to say it sounded killer, but you can also get a bunch of different brands and still sound just as good if not better. Usually it is better.

you can do either one with great success. But take RE for example, great subs, now if you use them, you'd almost have to use other HU, component speakers and amplifiers. Most major brands have the full lineup, but you don't have to use the same brand, to win.

sounds like everyone has the same perspective that i have. I have known in the past different customers or friends that have been set on saying that all alpine or all pioneer is the best. I love alpine but i do not believe that they are the better sound in every area. The truth of the matter is that sound is subjective and what sounds bad *** to me may sound like crap to someone else. As for the term "best" i meant to say the better way to go for your setup, not necessarily a completeley right and wrong way to go.
