in the other thread i heard some people babbling about what to do to prevent a hangover.
ive did a considerable amount of research on this, and through testing it first-hand, here is my own personal solution to not getting a hangover (and by the way, i haven't had a hangover in 2 years)
pre1.) do NOT drink any beverage containing caffeine when you are about to drink. no coffee, mt dews, etc.
1.) required amount of water per day is 64oz. when you drink, you're depleting your body of that water, so you need 'reserve' water in your system to make up the difference. depending on how much you drink (beers/shots/mixed drinks), add more and more water to your body. IE if you have 4 mixed drinks in 1 night (50% alcohol/50% soda or whatever) would probably require an extra 32oz of water. beers arent AS bad, but still you need to make up the difference.
for example, say i had 4 mixed drinks and 3-4 shots. i should take in an extra 32-64oz of water on TOP of the 64oz that i did for that day. you can drink this water WHILE you drink to make it easier so you dont have to pump it all in at once.
2.) potassium & vitamin B6 are depleted when you drink. load up on 2 bananas before a heavy night of drinking, and pop a B-complex vitamin.
i can almost guarantee if you do this the right way, even after a heavy night of drinking you'll have no hangover, or a very VERY mild one at that. i drank a half of a fifth by myself and woke up and ran a mile and a half and went to a concert that same day, in 85+deg weather. anyone with a serious hangover wouldn't even CONSIDER doing any of that.
