I just picked one of these up on another forum:
Now, I have some decisions to make. I am hoping it will do all right in my old 10" subwoofer enclosure that is 1 cubic foot tuned to 35 Hz, even though it was recommended that I go a tad bit smaller and tune the port a tad bit lower (.9 @ 33 IIRC). Anyhow, I am guessing that my frankenbox will be OK for testing purposes:
Power wise, I can't decide if I want to parallel both coils to run a 1 ohm load to my Lunar L1500 (conservative 500 watts RMS @ 1 ohm) or series the coils and use my JL Audio 500/1 v1 @ 4 ohms. I know the sub is rated for 300 watts RMS, but I am hoping that 500 watts won't be too overboard since my enclosure is a whopping .1 cubic foot larger than recommended.
I really need to build a real enclosure for my 8s!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Also, I'd like to know if anyone else is feeding their True Bass 8 500 to 700 watts RMS.
