hey- how yall doin?

i have a question about the system in my car....i got my clarion 735mp head unit gion to the stock speakers...if i turn it up past 26 (max is 33) i get nasty *** distortion....almost like bad clipping...but with some songs....the music cuts out entirley...cant figure it out....someone i know mentioned the idea of the stock system making use of a factory amplifier that was located somewhere else in the car...this doesnt make much sense to me tho cuz the stock hu had a nice size ehat sink on it...and was a normal size....

any idea anyone? as of now im just thinking it time to get new speakers and an amp for em...

Head units tend to send out a clipped signal at around 80-90% on the volume swing. Amplify those bad boys and set up the gains properly, no more distortion (unless you are using crappy little speakers with low power handling //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )
