Resonating Reticular
Hey, guys. At the end of May, beginning of June, I'm going to be taking a trip to Israel (probably.) It's through the Birthright organization, so it's free. I just need to find a way to get to New York international. Now, my friend lives in New York (technically, New Jersey, but he travels to New York everyday for work.), I wanted to go a week early and chill with him, be a douche tourist in New York, then ride out to Israel.
Now, here's where you get to chime in... I'm somewhat torn between transportation. A train is $120 dollars, and takes something like 27 hours to go from Miami to New York. I want to take a train because, well, I've never taken one, and even though they're boring, it's nice to experience new things, not to mention I get to oogle at country side and what nots. I'm not really sure how the seating goes, and I think that's the deciding factor.
For a plane, it's $150-175 dollars, and would probably take something like 3 hours? Which is relatively quick and painless. I know that airlines are notorious for losing luggage, and the train I want to take doesn't have any transfers, so my luggage would be with me the whole time.
The price difference isn't too significant enough to mention, I mean, $30-55 dollars isn't really too much, when considering I save a full day in traveling. But, if I take a train I can do the waving-handkerchief moment.
And I'm not even thinking about taking a bus because I looked, the prices are between $150-250 dollars, and take just as long... and I took a bus to Gainesville and it was HORRID. Worst 9 hours of my life.
