Tooth ache remedies

At about midnight last night I was awaken by a horrible tooth ache. My first line of defense was the usual rinse with warm water and Listerine followed by playing some video games to distract my mind away from it. Well, that lasted a whole 5 mins or so so next I tried the last of my Loratab. Yep, that didn't even phase it, this was going to be a long night. So I was getting desperate and I decided to turn to the almighty interweb. First I tried Oregano mixed with warm water, that lasted 3 mins. Next was warm salt water, this worked well but only lasted 10 mins or so. I repeated this process while I was cooking up more remedies. Also, in the mean time I was soaking Q-tips in rum and bitting down on them to try and make it stop hurting. That didn't really work either. Next was baking soda mixed with warm water. This worked pretty good for about 5 mins, then all hell broke loose. I have no idear what the hell this did but it wasn't good. By this time it was about 4 am and I had yet to sleep a wink and now it was the worst it had been all night. I finally broke down and went to the grocery store right after this and bought some Orajel. This did the trick and I could finally get to sleep. Moral of the story, stick with what works for the masses.

Cliffs: Had a tooth ache, tried some interweb remedies, ended up going to the store at 4 am and buying Orajel.

Anyone have any other tricks that work?

I couldn't believe the Loratab didn't even phase it! I knew right then it was going to be a long night. I'm trying to get through the weekend so I don't have to pay double or more on an emergency dentist visit. I'm thinking the gallon of Sailor Jerry's rum I just bought will be able to help me through this.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I waited also, put up with pain for 3 weeks. I finally gave in and went to dentists. Cost me 3 weeks pay to get the work done, i was pissed. Almost $1400 for 45 minutes of work they did
yeah it's expensive.

i went close to a year eating tylenol and advil from pain of a wisodom tooth cause i didn't have the money. one night i couldn't handle the pain and was having nose bleeds. next day i went tot he dentist. payed about 1200 to have the tooth removed. i felt like a million bucks the next day. never will i wait to go to the dentist and go through the pain i had to. no matter the cost.

Best thing to do is to take meds for pain before it gets to bad. Once the pain is really bad it is hard to get rid of. On thing i tried was keeping ice at the roof of my mouth. It really helped.

Bacardi 151 straight....about a half pint.....then a pair of fishing pliers to yank it out...will do the trick....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
