Ive seen more than a couple competitors do this.

Howie Liwang, editor of Ca&e, had an install like this in his camaro with custom made horns built into the dash. Cant find any of my pics of it but it was a beautiful install and sounded great.

Has anyone ever done this but had an actuator to change the tunning of the box?

yes using an L shaped board attached to the actuator....it was set up to change port tuning or it could close completly and do sealed also...It was a really neat setup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
