Here in New England, at least where I am located, there is quite of few people with the Mmats amplifier because of their efficiency. I called Mmats audio, and talked to a engineer and they said they range from 90% to 98%. My paticular amp is their best amplifier as far as effieciency. It just requires alot of power. To run this amp properly they told me that I need between 200 amps to 250 amps. Since your into SPL, I have been trying to get a good solid answer on building a certain few types of boxes in my 08 G6. It is a trunk car with hard back seats. Right now I am only hitting 146.0. My goal was 149.5+. Abviously way off. I wanted to either build a bandpass box and have the ports firing into the deck lid. With this I would be integrating the deck lid with the box. Or, anther option was building a sealed box by using the deck lid as the baffle board, and put some ports in the deck lid so they were firing into the rear windshield. Do you think either of these would give me any DB gain. If so, how much. I was told by someone who has done this, that they saw a good 4 DB gain. This car it was done by also had Plastic Hard Back Seats.
