To Foam or not to Foam????

Ok working on a new project. I'm trying to force fire my vehicle pressure forward. I have a enclosure built which take up a great portion of the center of my trunk area. I need an opinion on wether it may be a good idea to use GREAT Stuff to fill in all unused portions of trunk space in the vehicle? My plan is to foam both sides and cut out spots for batteries and power distribution. I would then paint, rubber undercoat or carpet the foam once i shaped it for appearance sake. The goal is to direct as much pressure as possible into the cabin area.

What do you guys think?

foam absorbs sound, not deflect it.

You need to fiberglass something to the sides of the box to seal it off from the rest of the trunk

I used foam but i did it to absorb sound (small gap in the trunk before i dynamated it)

You would want to build something out of MDF or Fiberglass for it to work correctly
