To all those who have AT transmissions!!!

There is such a difference in mechanics it isn't funny, They range from Einsteins to Gomer Pyles. A lot of times it is dumb luck finding a good one. Glad it worked out for you good.
The **** part is a good mechanic is all those states away lol.
Yes I agree those 2 mechanics that looked at it are pretty respectable up here:crazy: The shop that the car got towed to just looked at under the hood and suspected the problems, never checked anything else. The guy who came over to my house checked out the radiator found the milky fluid and tried to shift the car into drive and it wouldnt shift, probably because there was no ****** fluid in it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif but heck hes a mechanic so he should know right? lol Im just glad my friend stopped to visit this weeked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif And in all honestly I cant believe Chrysler thought about protected the transmission thru the cpu!!!

I'm not trying to rain on you parade, but when radiator fluid gets in your transmission its not good. What happens is the radiator fluid contains a oil which will attach to the friction plates and cause the transmission to slip or they will eat themselves up. I would get a transmission flush quick and maybe hopefully get rid of the residual radiator fluid. Again I don't mean to be negative but that's from my experience when transmission coolers fail. Best of luck.

I was thinking the same thing. Antifreeze is very slippery, it would wreak havok with the clutches.

Im glad you didn't burn up the ******.

In some trannys probably yes if the milky substance or coolant gets into the ****** its not good, but im not sure if the chrysler protection feature stops that when it automatically goes into 2nd gear, not really sure what the protection feature does besides throwing it into 2nd gear, it may stop the fluid flow? Not really sure. All I know is when my friend took out the radiator, the little bit of ****** fluid left that came from the cooling lines and from my ****** were perfectly pink and not milky //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif So no mixture in the ****** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It has nothing to do with a smart mechanic and a dumb mechanic.

They just try to pull the covers over peoples eyes so they dont see the anal rapeage that is about to come.

They would of probably swapped that ****** out for a rebuilt one, taken your good one out and waited for the poor guy with a broken ****** to come in so they can make double off of it.

There is no honesty or good people left in this world, thats why im glad I have a HUGE family full of doctors, mechanics, lawyers and yadda yadda.... I dont have to deal with that bullshit

just imagine if I would of sold it for 1500 that guy would of fixed the radiator and than sold it for 6000:verymad:

you might want to drop that pan and change the fluid one more time at the very least to get more of the mixed fluid out of the transmission. i got water in mine before on my last jeep i owned...i took through a deep water pit. at first it wouldn't even move. dropped that pan 4 different times (drive a few miles in between), each time the fluid get to a darker shade of red and i finally called it good after that. drove great afterwards.
