I guess this just goes to show sound quality is very subjective.

What sounds good to one person may sound like *** to everybody else..

exactly, a little bass or a lot of bass doesn't mean as much as good highs and mids. I think as long as you got a pretty good speaker setup powered by a seperate amp or two you shouldn't have a bad system. It just won't be as effiecent.
