I have two fi ssd 10s and a memphis mcd1500 watt amp i am going to use.

I am making a ported box most likely. Which way did yall find best to have the subs facing for it to be the loudest.

Is doing subs up port up fine? I have a 2000 dodge dakota 4 door

I don't know how much room you have to work with, but those 10's are going to need probably around 1.5 ft^3 each and then you have to take into account the volume of the port. Just make sure you have space.

Sub up, port up is the way to go.

I have room for a big box but trying to keep it smaller. dont want people to see it showing above window line and all that.

One guy told me to do this with the dimensions I gave him

14"H x 17"W x 27" L, 2.4cuft net enclosure, 2.85cuft gross with driver, port and bracing displacement. Two 3" ports 12 1/4" long will tune it to 32hz and those dimension are building it with 3/4" MDF and a single baffle.

Do a crx style box. My dakota is just the extended cab. I have built many many boxes in different ways. The best sounding one for me is the crx style box. Sub up port out the side of box. That was teh best SQ/SPL sounding box. Now SPL your going to have to play around. Dakota's in my book are a pain to get loud. But they do when the right box is used.

So does this work??

14"H x 17"W x 27" L, 2.4cuft net enclosure, 2.85cuft gross with driver, port and bracing displacement. Two 3" ports 12 1/4" long will tune it to 32hz and those dimension are building it with 3/4" MDF and a single baffle. Subs will be facing up and ports up to i guess.

Do you have an email address. I could send you a picture of what a crx box looks like. Its kindof hard to explain I guess for some one that has never heard of it.
