Tips in the hotels?

Ok I always considered myself a good tipper. And no matter where I go restaurant, bar, barber etc... I will leave good tips. Pretty much everywhere but fastfood (0 for them).

I i stayed in bunch of hotels for few days up to one week, and always tipped after a good meal or room service.

Now I'm a bit confused though. My company put me in the 5 star hotel for 2 MONTHS. I'm pretty much stuck in here the whole time and eat most of the time here. The prices are sky high and im thinking if eat here twice a day and order room service once in a while and if i tip them every time on top of the $20 breakfast and $20-40 dinner i will eave this place without my pants.

So Far i spent here few days and tipped them all the time but for 2 motnhs it will cost me a bunch.

If the prices already jacked up, I'm considering not leavin tip and directing the whole meal bill to the room.

What would you do?

direct meal bill to room and leave tip when you pay bill.

Unless you see a decline in your service. lol

A little off topic, but does anyone else notice that waitors and waitresses aren't even putting forth effort anymore to warrant a tip?

They are working like it's expected.

I'm just about done with giving out tips period.

Dwight from the office says what's the point in tipping for something you can do yourself?

Plus, when I am on longer business trips, I usually go to the grocery store and get some food, make sandwiches and get some fruit. You will be much happier and save a lot of money. Treat yourself once a week.

ya i only tip the bell hop who takes my bags up from the car and them down when leaveing, and the valet people. usually never eat at the hotel except for the free buffet breakfeast.
