i'm moving in this week too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif not the same campus, but still. from what i've heard, texas a&m is considered the friendliest university in the country, so i don't think i'll have trouble making friends. my dorm is considered one of the top 3 on campus, at least thats what one kid told me, so i'm excited about that.

did anyone mention socks yet? i have a feeling i will be running out of those quickly.

oh, and i'm moving in a week early, so i will be making many d-friends during that time!

Unless you literally sit in your room and not go anywhere, you're going to meet people. In my dorm, the first week before classes started was basically a hall-wide party. But we pretty much knew everybody after that first weekend. And being on a co-ed floor had its perks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Oh, if you enjoy listening to music, either wear headphones or make sure your stereo is louder than your roommate's. I found that three-way JBL bookshelves with 8" midbasses and an Adire Rava tucked under a cabinet settled most debates over whose music was getting played //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I had the same problem, but a quick trip back home setteled that argument:

The private dorm sounds nice, i got stuck in a double with 3 people, kinda sucked (althought one of the kids was almost NEVER there, and we got 1/3 of the money back). One of the kids was some gay asian kid, always had hot chicks comin over, deffiently a fun time and lots of partying

I don't have much to pass along. Funny thing about the service academies, you get all the negatives of dorm life and none of the positives...
