Tinsel Lead broken....is that the problem?

You do not have power and ground in both power/ground terminals? The amp was designed with dual 4 awg terminals, and needs to run with power going to both sets of terminals...
greeeeaat...ok so it worked though for a long time...you think i ****ed the amp over or do i just need to hook it up to both power/ground terminals??

I really have no idea on that one bro, and I am not entirely sure that is your problem either. But I would deffinitly get a distribution block, and some 4 guage wiring to set it up properly and go from there.

One way to eliminate the amp as a problem would be to get a 3.5mm to RCA cable (RCA's on one end and a headphone jack on the other.) Then you can use a portable device (CD player, DVD player, Ipod, etc.) and hook it up to your amplifier via the RCA inputs. If everything works then your head unit is the problem, or RCA's are grounding out, but it elimates your amplifier as being the problem.

And if it still doesnt work, then it would mean your amplifier is the problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Did you read the thread? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

He put a 9v on each coil, and the sub jumped... So that's not the problem.

yea after school ima go get some headphone jacks and hook it up to my ipod then to the amp and also get some distrobution blocks to run both sets of 4ga to em to see if thats what it was...

Ha Ha. Sorry but that is kinda funny. Sounds like you may have just ruined a brand new amp cuz it wasn't hooked up right. If the amp has more than one power and ground connection then they have to both be hooked up. Yes Yes Yes. Try hooking it up and see if it'll still work but you may be out of luck.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif How so, what? If the subwoofer accepts the power correctly, by showing cone movement, then it would do the same while hooked up to an amplifier.
