Time to Move

well found out today that the plant where I work at is undoubtly shutting down, they cut back to the batcher + 1 driver per week, everyone is currently on a rotating shift.

So turns out now the economy is so shot where I live (i was making more then say 80% of people in my city) and I was only making $12 an hour.

Lots of call centers/ fast food/ crappy retail jobs but they pay under $10 soo thats good.

Looks like I will be moving to Edmonton Alberta (4300 kms away) but staying within the same company. The difference in pay from here to there is $10 raise. so from $12 to $22 to start.

Sweet dude, right now i make 14 an hour and i used to make like 8 and its definately a big increase. You may have to pay more to live in Edmonton but its definately worth it.

sounds like my town. i average about 9 an hour and that's a lot. gonna move to detroit soon. also the cost of living here is higher then in the city. atleast here it is.

Edit: About all I know for certain about Mexico is that it is southwest of where I live and they are exporting their poverty to the US.
