picked up my plunge router from sears. craftsman for about 80-90. seems pretty good to me.

i picked up a skil router for just over $100 at HD

yeah i forgot about routers the tool. I was thinking internets. I like my Craftsman one. It goes through anything. I think it's 1 3/4 or 2 hp, plunge base, lighted area, nice features.

I recently picked up a Skil with plunge and fixed mount bases. Used a Craftsman for many, many years before buying the Skil.

I have been cutting sub-holes with a jig saw

it has not been working very well.

So Craftsman or Skil?
