I personally dont care that he cheated, but the resentment towards him (or w/e you want to call it) is understandable. A lot of people have kids who considered Tiger Woods as their role model, and now those parents having to explain why cheating your way through your marriage can ruin your life.
Celebrities always fall back on the 'my life should be private' excuse. The problem is, those celebs accepted their role when they started accepting their multi-million dollar salaries and king-like lifestyles. Guess what, scrutiny by the media and general population is the price you pay for all those benefits. If Tiger, or Kobe, or any othe others, wanted to be rich nobodies that we dont care about their love life, they should have gone to medical school. No, I dont personally care, but I dont have kids, nor did I look up to Tiger Woods in any way. A lot of people did.

That is the exact problem for me. When you look at today's society how many role models/heroes can you count that are a good example for our kids. Most people here don't give a fug what he did in his personal life but that's because they are just as immoral as his actions. I really feel bad for us that we can't just have a few decent people that our kids can look up too. Sorry that many of you don't feel the same way too.

Spoken like someone with no clue what its like to raise kids. Kids will find role models, and emulate them, learn lifestyles from them, no matter what their parents do. Yes good parenting always helps, but reality is it only does so much. And another reality is, not all parents do what they can or should. Reality, the bane of hopeless ideology like your idea of raise your own kids.
As for the other players praying he goes away, think again. Tiger raised the popularity of the sport like no other player in history, increasing the fan base, and the prize money.
As for if Tiger needs golf, I think if your idea were true, he would have stopped after the first hundred million dollars. Does he need it? Not in the strictest sense of the word, but I think its obvious he wants to play.
mrogowski, I agree. Its sad we rush our 'heroes' through growing up, coddle them until they are spoiled brats and gangsters, and then wonder why they let us down time and again. In Tiger's defense, I think in generally he's better than average. He's educated, had a good upbringing (from what I understand), and is well spoken. I believe he just has a problem he needs to deal with. I dont think his marital status should affect his right to play golf, I just hope he takes his problem serious and doesnt allow himself to be coddled through this situation for the sake of the almighty dollar. This could be a turni9ng point in his life for the better, or it could merely be the first sign of a life full of problems. The choice is his.

I want my 2 boys to emulate my wife and myself, hard working, high values, compassionate people. Personally, I could care LESS if Tiger played again, won a $100 billion, or F'd 100 billion women, dude has NO effect on my life or my boys whats so ever. If my boys choose to play golf or any other sport I want them to be the first THEM not the next Tiger Woods.

Oh there great, there this, there that, but fact of that matter is they just can shoot, kick, run or act better then you or I.... They make one mistake now they OWE people an explaination, he dont owe anyone anything, again I would have told them to F off........
