Thunder 8000 12 2001 model with box for 25$

Figured i'd share my recent craigslist find with you fellers, going to get a thunder 8000 12 tomorrow excited because back when i was a fresh newbie these were out and i loved them for their styling and price.. They still tempt me so i figured i can't go wrong if the sub is still good. Any advice on a ported box for it? Reason i ask is the box that comes with it is sealed and it seems like a good sub for ported. Also any one have experience with these? Thanks for thoughts and help

Thank you sir I thought so, going on a mtx1501d @ 4ohms in my ford aspire lulz... All in due time though got to get the amp fixed first..
