Thump w/3rd amp, but fine beforehand.

Added a 3rd amp for midrange. I had this before and took it out when I got a more powerful one. I'm using it again. It worked fine before.

Now, when it powers on it thumps. It shares a common ground through a distro block. The common ground is 0.2 ohms resistance, so that's good.

When I disconnect this particular amp the thump goes away. I wonder if it's just turning on before the h/u does? Any other reasons why this could happen?

well where are you getting your remote wire from, what switching your amps?

Remote wire comes from processor. All other amps power on fine.

None of the speakers thump. That's why I'm unsure what it could be. I know most speaker thumps are associated to a bad ground.

just make sure all your grounds are secure, they may be good grounds, but make sure they are tightened and secured good enough

Heck, if you can remember, I'd like to know. Did it solve the "click" turn-on sound?
