Those with an IPOD interface....pros and cons?

i had the kca-420 for alpine (ipod thingy) and it worked great with my 9827 before it got jacked... control through deck is a little shaky but i know they have fixed that problem on the next gen decks. even if u dont wanna control it thru ure HU just unplug it and find what u want start playing it and plug it in and it works fine doing it that way.. u lose NO SQ using this thing sounds great (cuz its a digital connection) and i enjoyed it for a whole 2 months! but hey it was GREAT while it lasted, if u are an ipod lover i suggest strongly on picking one of thses bad boys up..

 
Yes i have thought about that now....since i am not hearing good things about alpine interface.....plus i found this......

Looks like i could get that and run from a AUX on a HU to that ear phone jack and just control all of my music from my ipod istead of the HU

thats the IPod to RCA adapter cable then behind the dash i have an RCA to 13pin DIN connector plugged into my cd changer port on my HU, i'm gonna be getting the car charger thing for it and cutting off the cig lighter part and hardwiring it in
