The site is pretty much the same as it has always been ( with a few cosmetic changes of course ). It's the user base that has gone through the drastic changes. People use to actually come here and learn something, and continue to learn. I think that's a big part of the bitching. Used to surf the dome at work every day for entertainment...no point in doing that now. Now visit/post maybe once every few days at best.

true. This forum used to have the audio knowledge, great classifieds, and a fast moving thunderdome that brought the lulz. The classifieds still work, there are a few people that know what they are doing still here, but the thunderdome just sucks compared to what it used to be.

I think the problem is that people should have more respect for themselves and show some maturity in their conversation, whether it be on the internet or in real-life. This web-site has turned into an all out 6th grade rip fest in which multiple dumbasses duke it out to see who cares the most. I really can't believe that people engage in such activity without realizing how much time they are throwing away on useless and childish games. I hardly ever get on this site anymore and when I do I have nothing to say. Nothing is funny enough to keep reading and its hard to find useful and intelligent information on here anymore. This is just another example of what happens to good resources when they sell-out to the public. Although this was obviously inevitable, being a public web based forum; I was surprised to see the complete lack of direction on the moderators part. Why not have new threads be reviewed before being posted? I could think of many solutions to this site's problems but I have to say I don't care enough about this site to do anything about it; not like I could if I wanted to any way. I'm not sure how this web site works, who started it, or who really has control over it; but I do know it has completely turned into garbage that could be compared to spam. It makes since if you think about the target market of subwoofers and a correlation with the average user on this site. I guess you just can't expect much more from teenagers and young adults who want the whole world to know just how loud their "system" is.

1. Searching doesn’t work when everyone is searching for the same thing and asking the same questions over and over. The just equals more bullshit to have to pour through just to get frustrated with all the bullshit to find that tiny bit of information they were looking for. All those stupid *** thread filled with retoast, try searching dipshit, NOOB; just aggravate the newcomer thus giving the impression that this site tolerates and encourages that type of behavior. For the most part, when a person seeks knowledge, he or she, is not in the mental state of instigating mayhem in the forum. I believe it's the usuals and Veterans that ignite the whole process by acting like jackass. I admit it, I have called out Noobs. I am not a noob, and I am not claiming to be a wise crack expert. Most of my call outs where in the name of humor, as many members do as well. So, the solution seem to be, in my eyes, is to put a review committee in effect, that is assigned the task of tagging threads for the search data base. and post that have a comprehensive knowledge discussion than the jaw jacking threads we see more of lately. IMO. um kay. thanxs.

Ive been here for several years now. One thing that has never changed in all that time... people saying this forum isn't what it use to be. It must have been one hell of a place back in like 1997.

Ive been here longer than my current join date shows. Ive been here for every glory time referred to in this thread. And yet I cant remember a time when people weren't complaining that this site is dying.
