This ok??

Just figures id ask this, is it ok to use different guages of speaker wire? or will that cause a bottleneck. For instance i have like 16 guage or something running from my 6.5 to my passive crossover then have 10 guage running from my crossover to my amp. Another thing, the copper wire for speaker wire should always be possitive or was that bad info i was given?

it dosent matter. wire is wire just what guage u use.

ok was just curious cause i was reading of people using different guage wire for the power and ground wires and people said that was bad cause it would cause a botteneck. I didnt do that, used 4 guage for both, but just wasnt sure if me using different guage speaker wire from speaker to crossover and crossover to amp would do the same. Thanks for clearing it up.

You can cause a bottle neck in high power applications, but for speakers... you're going to be fine.

Always use the same size ground as the power wire.
