for one, i think iraq was more to get closer to iran, maybe russia as well.

but weve already gotten involved with the georgia/russia conflict. our marines were over there training the russian military prior to the russian attack. the russians sat, waiting for us to leave and the day after the US military left, they attacked. we knew it was going to happen and we were involved from the get go so palin saying we would get involved really means nothing since were already involved.

Just watched the interview. Seems like Palin was trying to keep from drowning throughout the entire interview. I don't want this woman anywhere close to the white house. And I thought she was a waste of a VP choice before...

She didn't do too well in the interview, but in her defense, she didn't have good answers. Bill Clinton didn't meet any foreign diplomats before being elected President either. I think it's rather unfair to expect the governor of a small state to really have a lot of foreign relations experience. However, I do not rank "foreign relations experience" very highly on my criteria for selecting a president.
