Right now I have two cheap 6.5" Kenwood speakers in my rear deck.

I plan on cutting two more 6-inch holes in my rear deck and adding two more speakers to the rear deck for a total of four mid-range speakers on the rear deck! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I would, most certainly, like to get four brand component new speakers for this.

I will be pushing all four of them with this amplifier:

It puts of 60w per channel (it's a 4-channel amplifier).

I am looking for two pairs of 6.5" - 6.75" component speakers that can handle around 50-75w of power.

I have about 3 inches from the top of my subwoofer box to my rear deck.

I am looking to spend about $100-$150 on each pair of comps. ($200-$300 total)

As of right now these are in the lead:

Mostly because they are the perfect wattage, perfect size, and the perfect brand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

My second choice at the moment:

Because they have a BFA grill!!

Color Text lulz.

Why is midbass in the back of your car so important to you? you drive in the front of the car my man. not sure anybody puts components in the back of the car for the same reason.

+ don't buy retail. check the classifieds. great deals from good guys who know what their talking about. there are better brands then bestbuy/wal-mart speakers. if i would of looked more into it before i started, i would of totally different speakers in my car then the ones i have now (JL+MB).

I suggest you do more research if you want to achieve a good full sound spectrum. Nice components in the front, good midbass 6.5's in the back and a beefy sub all with proper EQ and Crossovers should set you straight broski.

Midbass from my speakers isn't important to me at all, I have all the bass I want in my trunk ^_^

Unless I am mistaken and midrange and midbass are the same thing :/

I don't need components that put out bass, I want them to put out great mid-level Hz..

I want them in the rear because my front speakers are 3-1/2" speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and I don't think there is much out there for 3.5"s without spending a milli..

I really don't like high notes, I like my music to be loud but not ear-splitting, I guess that's why I want to have a bunch of mid-range speakers in my car.

Omg... Well midbass is very important..
Anyway.. Why the hell would you buy component sets for just the midrange speaker?

My LPF on my subwoofers is set at 100hz, and my db slope crossover thing on my HU is set at 100hz / -12db as well.

What if I took and put one set of mid-range speakers in the back and set them at about 100-300hz

Took another set of 6.5" comps and set them at 300-600hz

Then put a pair of 4" 2-ways and set those at 600-1000hz - all in the rear deck.

and set all my tweeters at 1khz+

I would also have to replace my 3.5"s in the front with something great, and I donno what I would set those at..

I just want my system to sound great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and I need help doing it..

Should I put what I currently have?

These are pretty much the best 3.5"s I can find.. The Infinity Kappas

I believe you would cross your tweeters much higher... like 3 or 4k, this all depends on what equipment you have though. Sounds like a pretty horrible plan. At the most I would use a woofer, mid and tweeter.
