i just went to buy books for school and it cost me $600. i go to a shitty little college that is literally in the middle of the ****ing forest. i mean deer and turkey run wild through the parking lot. it's like 8 miles from any sort of town. the town it's near is saint helen michigan which i don't even think it's on the map and is one of the poorest towns in the state. i only took 4 classes and they are raping me on books here at a crummy community college that's named after a ****ing bird for christ sakes. also 1 of the books the teacher said is supposedly used at michigan state and i told the teacher i go to this ****ing community college because i wasn't smart enough to get into michigan state, and now you want to give me one of their text books? i'm just pissed because i wanted to use the money for an alarm on my car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

i just spent $250 on three books. i need to get another for my **** math class. dont feel bad. they **** everyone. my tuition was only 1.7K for four classes and a lab.

and i still need to spend another $100 on that math book.

books are a freakin joke.

http://www.amazon.com - next time, go to the school a few weeks before classes start, and find out what books the classes require, and you will only spend $200 shipped for all your books, maybe even less.

Man I know what you mean..

My graduate and Neuroscience books totalled $1700..

Even at the local Comm. College. for 15 hours its $540 and the total cost of books run $600-700..

If only there were some place on the internet that sold textbooks for lower than bookstore prices, would accept a credit card as payment, and could somehow ship the books to you within a week...If only such a place existed...

I go to a community college also. You'd be amazed at the amount of actual intelligent students around. We're just all cheap, and proud of it!

On the other hand, $600 is crazy. I only take on average three classes a semester. Those first 3 semesters of Calculus were easy on my pockets 'cause they all used the same book.

What gets me are those skinny, paperback books that cost $100+...outrageous

First of all Im sure you could have bought those books used also most schools buy the books back. So you will get back a good chunk of that money back

u must live under a rock to not kno that school books is every students major expense.
