Thinking of trying out a new subwoofer. Box is 3.5 tuned to 28hz. Feeding 1000 watts Has anyone had any experience with the RL-P. Im considering going the route of a sa15. Just looking for experienced opinions of each speaker to determine if I'm downgrading or what.

I ran 15" RL-P's several years ago. Have them in the HT now. Like them a lot, but as the urge to get louder took over they just didn't cut it.

FI Q would work well in that box, especially if you cut the port a little shorter to raise tuning. Not sure about the SA as I've only heard them in 4th orders.

I actually ran 2 SS 15"s in 5 cubes (2.5 ea) and fed them 1200 each. They loved it and took it no problem. I've ran every SS sub other than the RL-s (which I would love to get my hands on).

What are you trying to get out of the swap? Want louder or just a different sub?
Ideally. Louder, after thinking it over, I pretty much want more cone area off the same power. 1000-1500 watts. The rlp is in classifieds if anyone wants it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
