think this crx is worth 500?

Take it to one of those places that do pain jobs for cheap. Like Earl Schieb or Maaco.
Good advise...if you want a half-assed paint job that the paint falls off within weeks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Those places are horrible from what I've experienced of them.

A running honda with only 125k for $500 is a hell of a deal though. I wouldnt pass that up!

Their not that bad if you do the prep work. My cousin got his audi painted at maaco about 6 years ago and it still looks good. Sounds like you didn't do any prep work or got shafted on yours. It all depends on who you get spraying your car.

does anyone have pics of there crx/system in crx
just looking to get a couple ideas
There is a whole cookbook on a loud crx, most popular is a 2 -12 box 29x29x14, subs up and port rear. Alot of competitors are facing the subs forward now, and have even seen some facing to the left and right side. A pair of 12's and a shitty prefab will get you mid to high 40's.

well it definatly wont be a pre fab.

whats a good tuning for just a burp in a crx do you know?

what hz tone is usually played in a crx?

this will be a daily car with a switch port

Did the price of CRX's go up or something. I commeted on some other guy that got one for 1200 smacks and thought he overpaid for his..........with 214k on it. In our area they go pretty cheap. The one I looked at a few years ago was 2k with 67,000 miles on it, custom paint job and some mild engine mods, with a big fart can that would have went. Ended up getting something else, but I should have picked that up. I probably could have sold it for a lot more, lol!

Forgot to mention to the OP, that is about the right price and what they go for over hear usually in that condition.

I say get it and take off the bumper, repaint it like you said you would and do some cheap rims and bam, nice little car you have.

Honda = People Paying Lotsa Bucks!

You get a fixer-upper for $500, I'd calculate what the fixes would cost, add $500 and then see if that total is equal to or less than the price of a good one ready to go at a decent lot or from a private party. I'm guessing based on the cost of the parts as well as having the stock bumper in hand, that you will be fine.

Back in the day it was the muscle cars that made the high price list, while big luxobarges like I drive dropped in value. Until gas went crazy, it was th SUV craze. Hondas are the New World Boner...LOL!

Even if gas prices drop to $2.something, the CRX will still have a market and you will get your money back most likely short of someone coming up with a cheap killer fuel cell that turns any Big Rig into something that costs practically nothing a month to run.

Cliff's Notes: BUY IT!

Local markets are a phenomenon of the car biz. I would go to the wholesale auctions in Eugene back in the 1970's, 2 hours away. Pickups wholesaled for more than I could retail them for. The flipside was that I could get Rambler/AMC cars for dirt cheap and I never had to wait longer than 2 weeks to sell them in Coos Bay.

You can make the best buys for full-sized 4-door sedans in Florida. The old folks die off, the kids don't want the car and dump it for whatever they can get for it. The funny thing is that the kids are likely selling a car that is better than what they have since most of the geriatric set does not put on high miles and they almost always maintain their cars to the peak of perfection.

yes im pretty mechanicly inclined i guess you could say iv done axles and well suspension doesnt really need to be done it will have a system before the suspension gets done and it will be painted first
