I didn't have my nine.1 for my XXX yet so I hooked up my avionixx 440.4 to it. I bridged the rear channel to put out its 220rms. I just wanted some bass back. I got more than that. This thing still bumps very good for the amount of power it is getting. I can't believe it's as loud as it is. It HITS pretty hard with it. I must say the XXX is VERY efficient.

I do have a small problem though, it rattles when I turn it up loud, It is only mounted with 4 of it's 8 screws right now though, and the rubber seal isn't on it because I wasn't worried about a full seal yet. Could that be the reason? I was having HUGE problems getting the sub in it's hole *flush mounted on double thick front baffle*. That's why the rubber isn't on it. Is that my problem?

no, its not "VERY efficient." and why you would ever mount it with 4 screws and no rubber gasket beats me. i hope the sub is top mounted cuz 4 screws is not very strong in holding up a sub that heavy, and theyre gonna be ripped outta the wood. im guessing that is the source of ur rattles.

The rattling is probably the speaker wires in the back hitting the sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

hehe I didn't read the full post... dude.. get off your lazy *** and install the sub correctly... I mean you can leave everything ugly but don't half-*** the functional part...

you guys are all freaking out over nothing. I only put it in for an hour to see how it was. The sub was taken outta the box RIGHT after listening. It was in no way intended to stay in there that way. It was to make sure it worked I guess you could say. I will not send 200rms to a 15" sub and leave it in my car. That's downright stupid and embarrassing.
