Did you ask him what what he wanted was for?

I think our topic should be...... what should the course of action be for Iraq?
Beat wants to be controversial today. That's always interesting...

I'll start off by saying..... the greater good was done by the administration pulling a tyrant out of his powerful position. My evidence for this is the 10s of thousands of bodies found in mass burials.
Add to that the behavior evidenced by him in all his years as a known military presence including the years prior to his acquiring control of the country.

This was by no means a man that should have ever occupied a position of power to any degree.

I will also say that people should stop *****ing about the death toll. the ammount of soldiers lost in almost 6 years can be called nothing less than a military sucess. Compare the current number (almost 5,000) with the 58,152 names on the vietnam memorial wall (generally a 12 year span).
How many brave men were lost in a single day as we stormed the beach at Normandy? And those that fought and died in WWII are called "The Greatest Generation."

The current crop of grunts are no less brave in my estimation. There hasn't been a draft in 30+ years so the ones currently serving are there of their own accord for whatever their motivation (service to country and countrymen, wanting to get college paid for, it's a family tradition, whatever)

.....but I do think we need to be done. Or begin a phasing out of our presence in teh next 4-5 years.
I think we should be gone before then but it does have to be a gradual thing. If we were to simply pull out completely right now the entire region would collapse into utter chaos and the world at large would be no better off than things were when Hussein still had an iron grip on most things there...

They are having a civil war, the Sunis are wanting control while the sheites want it. Then you have the Kurds salivating over the prospect of taking it all for themselves..... it's a mess!
Sad but true //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

The liberal media would have a field day if someone from the administration said what I did //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I'm a bit of an Ann Coulter fan and when she released that book "GODLESS" I ordered it.

When it showed up in the mail at my parents' house (my credit cards are tied to their mailing address) I thought Mom was going to burst a blood vessel or something. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
