Hmm....Beat was wanting me to tell him a story the other day so maybe he'll see this one. This story is entitled:
"The Reason Prowler
Hates All Things Strawberry"
Many years ago when I first became exposed to the internet I was using a deal that was some cooperative endeavor between Kmart and Yahoo! for an ISP because it was free. Like most of the completely free 'Net access options from back then your browser window would be taken up almost 1/3 by banner ads but I didn't know there was a better way back then.
At any rate because it used Yahoo! their chat rooms were the very first online chatting I was ever exposed to and consequently what led me to meet the wondrous lady who eventually became Mrs Prowler but my running across her plays no part in this story.
There was this chick who lives (or lived...who knows or cares at this point) in W. Virginia that I chatted to fairly frequently in the Yahoo! rooms. After about 6 months or so said female asked me if I would like to see a picture of her. Always liking to be able to place a face with a username I agreed and she emailed me a picture. As the dial-up connection I was unfortunately on at the time would
never connect any faster than 28.8 anything graphics-intensive took forever to load so when she emailed me the pic it was taking 7 forevers to completely load the page so I just minimized that window and figured I'd restore it in a few minutes once the picture had completely loaded.
Uugh. Never should have done that.
Once the page was fully loaded and I maximized the page I was visually assaulted by this image of a woman who in no shape, fashion, or form would
ever be mistaken for one of the good Lord's more attractive daughters. She was wearing nothing but a smile and a single strawberry strategically placed where God never intended fruit to be. Splashed across the top of the picture was the caption "Wanna Bite?"
From that day forward every time someone mentions strawberries, I'm around strawberries, or am around anything to do with strawberries that awful image comes to mind and I become violently nauseated. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sick.gif.b1847c8dabbfeeddbcf1a78052249e10.gif
