indeed. it really hurts the people making around $8-9 an hour like myself cause i'm not gonna get a raise but the cost of living is gonna go up. does this retarded governor not take any economics classes? that's what you get when you elect a canadian female

Hmm....there must be an exception when minimum wage is increased at the state level because there is a requirement that people getting paid hourly get a compenserate wage increase when the federal minimum wage is increased. (ergo when minimum wage went from $3.35 to $3.85 all hourly employees had to get a $0.50/hour raise)

The kicker to that is that most hourly employess aren't aware of said requirement and if they do not demand it of their employer (more often than not, sadly) then they won't get it.
