It's mounted right on the roof, so that's not the problem.. I went with XM cause I heard it sounded better.. And yes, I've heard it has better reception too.. I wonder if there's a better antenna I can buy?

I don't think they have better antennas, I've looked for antennas before, they are hard to find. I think I wanted a glass mounted one

I hope the SIR-ALP1 uses the same antenna connector as my SIR-ECL1, I don't want to have to swap antennas.

I have a hatch, so I think I would get better reception on the roof instead.. Plus it's magnetic, so I wouldn't be able to mount it to the glass.. Ima check eGay for some better antennas.. It's nice out here today, so hopefully the clouds don't fcuk with me..

I put double sided tape on my antenna and then stuck it on the glass

Unless it's a REALLY old antenna, you won't have any problems.

I never heard XM before, so I was reading reviews to see what people had to say, and they said that XM sounded better so I went with that.. Now that I've heard them both, I think they both sound the same.. I signed up for 3 months, so I will decide what to do then.. I might try a Sirius unit then and see which I like better..
