well i get to start installing my satellite dish tommorow. gonna be a pain, have to wedge a 2x4 in my window sill and mount the dish to it since i cant mount it to my apartment building, then on top of that i cant drill any holes in my apartment so i have to run the wire through the window using some rg6 flatwire and then on top of that i have to run it from the back of the house to the front. ohh what fun.

Bah, *****ing about DSS is nothing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Now if you were installing a 10' C-band TVRO setup, I may have some empathy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Wedge a 2x4 in there?
Are there brackets made for that specific use? I haven't looked for them, so I don't even know if they make such a thing.
Not sure if they do. I know they make window mounts for smaller antennas, but you need something more substantial to hold a dish in place.

I still have a 3 foot steel dish in my basement in Carolina left over from a 2.4GHz satellite link project...I need something to do with it.

If I wasn't living in an apartment, I'd have a lot more options...like finally getting a steerable roof tower and mounting my UHF array //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
