I saw an ad for T.G.I. Friday's new appetizer offerings.

Two of these new items (for only $4 with any entree purchase!!) are as follows:

Fried green beans

Fried mac & cheese

Now...since I can't really find any fault with either green beans or mac & cheese in their previous forms I am led to believe someone with entirely too much time on their hands came up with the idea.

Additionally as they are two foods that your average person wouldn't have ever thought of battering then deep-frying I am led to assume that it had to be a Southerner who concocted the idea in the first place (you know how we are down here with our fried foods....we'll batter and deep-fry ANYTHING...including Snickers bars at the state fair //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif)
