who the hell has $4500 to spend on speakers anyways? that's double then what my car cost. i think it's funny that people said yea these are great speakers when they prolly never even heard them. they see $4500 and think oh these must be great

Depends on the buyer. But I assure you they are Way under SRP pricing. Would I throw some Refs in my car? Absolutely ! Can I afford them even at dealer cost minus 30% accomodation pricing? Noppers..

honestly who the hell on ca.com will fork over $4500 to a stranger on the net? he knows no one will buy them. i think he just wants to say hey look at me i have $4500 speakers

They do actually sound quite pleasing. If I didnt have two newborns I would have considered them strongly. Hell theres a few days that go by that I consider taking the plunge.

Are there better performers for less money? Absolutely, but of course subjective to each individuals ears.

Cmon Dre...CA&E? We know where those reviews come from...Whens the last time you saw a Rainbow ad in there? An Alpine one?

Now dont be mislead, Im not stating either are better by any means. Im a fan of both and wouldnt mind using either, but a fair unbiased review should yield more accurate results. And I know you know this to be true...

My entire "system" (if you can call it that) doesn't have even half that much invested in it.

If I could afford $4500 to burn on audio gear I would durn sure buy a roundtrip ticket to Adelaide instead and have some money to spend while I was there.

It may not last as long as an uber-set of component speakers but there's no contest as to which I would enjoy more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Just for the record....Im not saying At All Rainbow is the end all, be all drivers. I do sell a ton and I believe them to be a well rounded product to fit all consumers needs. I do deal with alot of highend companies and the Rainbows just tend to sell very well. With just reason of course.

supposedly they msrp for 8 grand. normal people don't have 8k to spend on speakers. that's just silly.

I can understand and certainly appreciate that. If I wasnt 'in the business' I would prolly feel the same. But my car is used daily for demo purposes, hell I only have about 5K on the odometer in the past 1.5 years, so Im primarily stationary. When I do go for some of those drives I definately appreciate the sound though.
