262+ shippign from amazon. Ill get it before the trip if they can get it to me by thursday.

It takes longer but if you an old detector (even one that doesn't work) and participated in Beltronics' trade-in program you could have gotten it for $300/shipped including a 2yr extension to the factory 1 yr warranty. How much is Amazon getting you for shipping on it? Can't be alot...it's a small case.

The shipping is 6.50 expedited. I just checked. If they cant get it to me by thursday I might not get it. Hmmmm. The only reason I was getting it this time was because im driving through places Ive never been (going to OH) I think. THats the other thing, If im not going to that place I wont get it now, Id probly wiat a week or two then get it. Im cheap, but we'll see.

And true abotu not leaving it on in VA, I drive through there all of the time. Last trip in the span of ~5 miles there were 9 people pulled over, 3 people were in handcuffs. 2 of them were in the same car and I assume it was drugs because all of their stuff was spread all over the shoulder. that 9 is not exaggarated, I went 55 through most of the state after that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hide.gif.2d479cfd917eedfe201353b91522ceab.gif

It's highly possible they were getting done for drugs but radar detector use within the confines of VA is a felony offense. I wouldn't try it unless I had one of the stealth setups like the SR-7 or something.
