When I first got my XXV-01D I had the unit it replaced, my KDC-X679, for sale on here for the longest time with no one showing any real interest.

I sold it locally to the younger brother of a friend of a friend.

The older brother (the friend of a friend) just bought the younger brother a CDA-9855 for his birthday. I happened to be over there last night when it was being given to him (turned out to be the right place at the right time). The older brother who has a deep dislike of anything Kenwood-branded made some remark about having bought the younger brother a "real stereo so you can get that $20 piece of crap out of your dash."

I asked if that's all it was, a $20 POS, if I could buy it back for $20. He agreed so I did!

So, I bought an eXcelon KDC-X679, in the box, technically still under warranty for 3 whole days, with everything it came with when new for twenty bux.
