some of what i did this yesterday:

the previous owner of my house sparatically painted the back patio some with awful brown shades of paint:

after bugging me for 4 months i finally did this:

i'm not too sure about the blue on the door and doorjam...but it's there for now. i was going to do all the trim on the house that color but i have to see if i get used to it first. the patio walls are coming down soon cuz i'm ripping out the concrete and having a new patio poured.
